Using f9a on ex58-ud4p from f8 that shipped with my board. it fixed the issue with not coming out of s3 sleep when oced however now I see that no matter at stock or whatever stable oc the system will not throttle down when idle like the dropping multipliers down when there is no load on the cpu like it was doing in F8. Is this a known issue or am I just crazy?

I cannot boot into windows anymore?
I had Windows 7 64 installed in AHCI mode before (1.07)
and now I update to the latest bios (and turn on AHCI mode like before)
    but
cannot find my hard drives in Bios or booting into windows

    what am I missing?
some kinda change from upgrading the AHCI version I guess

    ok weird!
I can get it to boot into Windows 7
with AHCI enabled (like before with older bios)
    however
when I can sucessfully boot into windows
I check in the bios and see 0 hard drives in the "Standard CMOS Features"
and I have 1 IDE and 1 SATA hard drive I used to see there before
    but
if I look into "hard Disk Priority" I see both my hard drives and can set the order there.

and now I boot into windows fine and see both my hard drives there
(took a couple times of loading optimized defaults to get that to work as well)

    anyway
long and short all seems to work fine with new new AHCI 1.20E
    (and does boot faster....yah!)
but seems a little different how I no longer see any hard drives (SATA or IDE Hard Drive or IDE DVD Drive) in "Standard CMOS Features" after flashing to latest bios (I flashed 3 more times to see, and results were always same, even flashed back to older bios F7A and yep see all my hard drives there (and DVD)
    oh well
seems like it is just not displaying properly in BIOS
    but works fine
    so
I don't care, it works fine and stable and is faster booting
so I will keep this bios
    Thanks Stasio

    1.20E is a big improvement!

Shane p I only see my hd in bios when set to ide mode, once I set to ahci they have not shown up in bios apart from boot priority section, this has been the same through all the bios versions on my board. At least you have the new ahci 1.20, which I thought was going to be included in the F8c bios according to stasio.
