Hi Stasio, unfortunately it's not just a modded BIOS
The boards require a hardware modification as well (moving a small surface mounted resistor)

i have the picture on fileden if needed, but not sure i should post it here

Yes, it is not just the BIOS, the BIOS only allows you to set more than 103 PCIE in the BIOS and boot. Please DO NOT post the mod image here, this mod is under NDA due to the fact of how intricate the mod itself is. Gigabyte does not want everyone killing their boards.

If anyone feels up to it, please visit XS and let Hicookie decide if he feels you are up to the task.

Or you may also Google "Foxconn BloodRAGE PCI-E and BClk Mod" and similar images will be in the first results.

I did this mod myself, and for a week or so I could not get it finished (It IS TINY AND HARD), so needless to say I sat without a board until Colin @ Gigabyte was kind enough to send me a used board from GOOC. Then a week or so later after some practice I finally figured out how to properly do it.

My results of some quick tests posted here, I think limited by non retail/production CPU's, but I have yet had enough time to play again.

Soon I will be doing some dice runs though so I think for sure it will be better then

From the looks of the change list the only change that could cause OC to break is D0 Stepping im OC....

Not sure if the new features added could cause something like OC to break on C0 stepping....

Also is there a way to flash XMP profiles on a non XMP OCZ dimm like the OCZ3P1600LV6GK :)

Well there was a BIOS issue with DO Feature disabled, that was passed to Stasio to post and the person was not aware that the flag had been disabled was all. So that is why the change log notes D0 Fix, because a day or two before those versions were posted a broken version was posted.

Not sure about Non XMP Modules, I don't think they have the needed chip. Have you ran SPDTool on the modules and seen if it gives you an error or not? Best to be done all manually anyway as you need to find your own QPI/Vtt voltages anyhow and ram sub timings can be left on auto if you are not sure about those.

    Hmmm...

This is what I will try , check with F7a , F7b ,F7c and F7d BIOS to check if the all work for me....

I am assuming F7a , F7b ,F7c and F7d are newer / released after the official F7 release? Or are these older than the F7 official release Bios?

    +1 ^^^

    What is your issue anyway?

You have to keep in mind when going from BIOS to BIOS things are not going to be the same, you may need more or even less actually of one or more voltage to be as stable as the previous BIOS. You cannot expect things to remain the same as changes are made, all overclocks will need to be fully tweaked again, you may need more/less QPI/Vtt, more/Less Vcore, More/Less Vdimm, ect.

Do you have a D0 CPU? If you do, did you flash to one of the newer beta's the other day that had the D0 issue present in it?
If you did, PM me because you need to flash again with the latest now using SPIFlash to correct the D0 issue (Per JZ.de)
