    loads the backup of f10e all the time
    to go back you have to use flash spi
    but I really never used that utility and have no experience or familarity with it.
    Its pretty automated flash utility I believe

    Or wait till new bios.
    Thats what I will do I guess.

    F9A for Gigabyte X58 UD5 gave me random BSOD's when overclocking, windows wouldn't start up , had to flash back to F8F and install windows again.

    So F9A is really bad. Wouldn't use it.

    F9a x58 extreme bios works really well here on my ud5

    anyone seen a download link for F9c yet?

    I may be mistaken but it has "GA-EX58-UD5 - F9a" unless it's a version that needs modding or force flashing. I'm n ot too familiar with X58 and what can be flashed to what, so I could be wrong.

    He said he had the F9A bios working on a UD5 , and that's not possible without modding the bios checksum

    You didn't read my first post, only a few posts up... F10e BIOS and x2.40 mem weren't working at all.

    nope, no modding of bios needed, i just used spiflash
    been running the extreme bios's on my ud5 for months now

    Yes, crossflash is possible. Mentioned program is available in the motherboard section or via search through this section.

    I must ask that NO ONE post SPIFlash here please as it is not intended for the public and can kill your board. Thanks
