Latest unofficial bios for EX58-UD5 is F9d
    http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/7/...x58ud5.F9d.zip

Latest official Bios from Gigabyte is F9e which Fix abnormal CPU temperature
    http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/M...ProductID=2958

Difference between F7 and F8 and up is AHCI 1.20E gestion which reduces boot time very much !

    F10d is official, GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - BIOS - GA-EX58-UD4P (rev. 1.0)

My CPU Tcase hasn't changed, still upwards of 27c too low when under load.

I seem to have a strange problem with Win7 and S3 sleep.
If I put my computer to sleep from the local keyboard, then S3 sleep seems to work fine (majority of the time).
But if I put Win7 to sleep via Remote Desktop, it seems to work the first time, but when I put it to sleep the second time, it doesn't want to wake up any more.
Hibernate works fine each time (but that powers down the computer, so it's not the same)
I tried lowering both memory and CPU speed, but that doesn't seem to affect it. I also tried raising the voltages.

This issue doesn't exist on my AMD powered Dell desktop.

Wouldn't it be better to use a simple zip file instead of those self-extracting exe files? You're just taking for granted that all those who use your motherboards have windows installed, but that's not the case.

I would assume that it's a temp sensor reading problem rather than an actual over heat. That would involve work on maybe the voltage regulation and clock gen sections of the BIOS etc, a lot of work.

Yeah, I'm sorry, I wasn't talking about you. I was just complaining for Gigabyte's way of releasing these files, as if everyone uses Windows. That's simply not true.
