you can still extract from a self extractor without running its executable, so whats the problem? Dos, linux, windows, doesnt matter, either way you can get the file out of the exe weather you run the exe (windows) or extract it yourself (windows & other os).
The assumption is that if your not using windows, that you already have the capability to extract it IMO.

A zip file or an autoextracting exe are 2 different file formats. The usual utilities to extract zip files don't work with autoextracting exes. That said, I've just found one that works with this kind of exes, that is 7-zip. So thanks again Stasio, but I won't have problems with autoextracting exes from now on(till now I had to use wine to open them, which was kind of a mess and extremely prone to error).(yet I still think that a simple zip file is a better file format)

Just flashed F11 on my EP45-UD3R using QFlash. Seems to work fine. It also includes the new AHCI-ROM 1.20e

This has been driving me crazy so I had to register to seek help. On my GA-EX58-UD5, with BIOS F8 my system runs perfectly. But with any of the F9x BIOS updates, I am experiencing what I can only describe as electrical interference. Anyone else come across this?

F9d for the GA-EX58-EXTREME still has the keyboard issues inside of the BIOS which is strange that they wouldn't have fixed by now. Seems like it would be a simple fix.

Also, not sure if it's something else, but has any noticed a decrease in RAID performance? I'm still trying to figure it out but it seems like after I switched from F8g I've had some issues.

WinRar - "View" a bios file and winrar will display bios file in .bin format, 1/10th in size.

Funkadelic - Maggot Brain (alternative mix) or some 1980 german mix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGgZm03tci0
