I meet some bug with new bios for EX58-UD4P on F10h last beta, it can't rise multiplier over 26x with i7 975 but for F10d it still work.

They just released UD5 BIOS to fix that, I will make sure they are reminded this affects UD4P this week as well.

    I'm affraid they haven't (yet again). I have UD5 F9i + Xeon W3570 and still can't raise multiplier above 25.

    Is this a concern? Thanks!
I noticed the exact same thing.

I would like to add that my BCLK speed still resets to 133MHZ after S3 Resume event with the newer BIOS, Was it supposed to be fixed in this release ?

Has anyone tried F8g for the X58-UD3R yet. I keep getting Invalid BIOS Image in QFlash. I've tried a couple of different thumb drives. Just want to make sure it's not me.

    Thanks,
    Frank

GA-EP45C-UD3R and F5f BIOS....did they do away with P4 CPU support? I bought a GA-EP45C-UD3R to replace my current GA-EP45-UD3R since I want DDR3 memory. I had a P4 530J cpu laying around so I thought I would use that to set/install everything up fresh and leave the old board running so I had no downtime. Well it booted up fine with the F1 BIOS it shipped with into BIOS. I knew I had to update to F2 BIOS in order to support the 530J so I figured I would just go straight to F5f before tweaking BIOS settings and installing OS. Now I have a continous boot loop cycle and can't get into BIOS at all. I tried to CMOS clear and also removed battery without any luck. Any ideas? Was the CPU code changed to get rid of some CPU support?

    Thanks in advance,
    Blue

You likely need to flash from DOS using FlashSPI due to Qflash update changes, this happens every so often when they update Qflash.

@BIOS would also flash it, but I do not suggest that. I suggest you flash from DOS using a bootable USB Stick or DOS CD if you do not have a floppy drive

It should work as you expected, from F2 onwards, and the support would not have been removed.

Can you please try clearing the CMOS using the long method I outline in Post #2 here >>
    http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/bios...h-guide-27576/

Then try to start the machine with only one stick of memory in slot one

Do you have a newer CPU just in case something is wrong even though the CPU is supported? Just wondering

I did check the BIOS for you, and as you can see here the CPU String for your CPU (0F41h/0F41) is still listed in the Micro code in F5f in that BIOS as you can see here >>>

    *edit*
It is missing from F1, and not even in F2 either so I dunno bout that, ut is in f5f.

I do know P4 was not originally supported so you are lucky F1 BIOS even allowed you to start the machine, these boards were designed for VRD 1.1 CPU Power phases which the older CPU's do not use. They of course have changed things since then, I was just surprised to hear you had F1 working.

Being that F1 worked and F1-F2 both do not support the CPU you should have seen errors or issues, but since it worked even without the proper added micro code that means support in all BIOS after that would work as well.

I would suspect something else is causing your issues here and not the BIOS/CPU Combo itself. See if you can get the CMOS cleared using the way I mentioned above and one stick of ram.

If you cannot, then you may need to short the BIOS chips to cause the Backup BIOS to kick in and be copied over, it should be F1 still.

Can you use the machine at all, just wondering if you could DOS load via floppy, CD, or USB or not? If you can I may be able to further help via PM if you do not have any luck.
