I will be reporting this issue, along with that BIOS (UD5 F9j) also has locked CPU multipliers.

So any 965/975 CPU users, do not use UD5 F9j BIOS unless you use Multi under 24-25

I also found the S3 sleep does not work with SSD's, even if hibernation is enabled? At least my SSD's anyway, luckily I do not use sleep only when testing things for you guys! Took me a hour to figure it out, booted to my Non SSD and all was fine, so not sure? Maybe moving the pagefile?

Anyone with SSD see similar issues? When I click sleep, the screen shuts down like it it about to, then quickly shows the desktop again!

I don't care myself, but if this is a normal thing for SSD users they are going to hate it! Most disable hibernation anyway though, so shouldn't be a issue, but it was odd to see that it will not work with them.

Still have a few things I am going to test before I surmise this is not possible, at least with my drives anyway
Yes, I'm booting OS X on a software RAID 0 pair of SSD X25-Ms.
The symptom is on wake it half powers up according to the UPS, and the monitor doesn't get input.

I can confirm that Vendor Info is indeed restored.

Ahh, that is not what I was seeing at all, with SSD's anyway I mean. SSD's seemed to not go to sleep for me at all, only appear to start doing so and then show the desktop again like nothing happened. I am not sure if it is my Settings or not, but I do need to do a few more tests. I am thinking it is just the SSD's I have, or some tweak I am not thinking of that messed this up. Happens with older BIOes as well, that I know resume fine so it is either the SSD's themselves or a SSD related tweak or change I made.

With a normal Hard Drive though I could resume but it would crash/freeze on the desktop with F9j

Thanks! Well I can tell you it will ask you to sometime shortly, if you are using the same windows you re-activated with the Blank hardware info as it would be tied to that Mysterious motherboard

You would need to be using the older mirrors that did not get activated on that BIOS, or otherwise it will ask you shortly I do believe. You might get luck though, so if you are using the same install you activated the blank hardware BIOS on I'd say stick with it and see if it asks or not. If it does, then you can simply restore a backup before that BIOS was used and you will not need to reactivate.

Everest RAM bench shows the same results as F9 and any other F10 version for me. Read, write, copy, latency as well as L1 & L2 cache latencies all give similar results with the same minor variation between each run.

I can't make a more in depth analysis until I use the |P|C for a few days, encoding, gaming etc. I can't see there being any difference though. There's never been a performance difference in any BIOS I've used, just added features and bug fixes that I've noticed. YMMV though.

So far, no activation request, but like you say, I am expecting one. My last image is from 26th Nov, so I can restore that without issue if it does ask me to activate again.

    Unbelievable!

I tried bios 10j now and found here the ram latencies are 160.1 compared to 62.-63. and change under 10f
with 9 and 10 series previous bios all latencies were in the 62. to 63. and change latencies.

    Exclamation Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS

Anyone else having this annoying bug with UD3P Bios(s) F10I&J? If I have quick boot enabled and my computer is shut down completely (IE, I unplug the PSU Cable/Flip the switch/Lose Power) to force a double boot which is normal for a high OC my #1 Ethernet Port cannot be started in Windows XP, #2 works just fine though.

This issue continues until either A: I flash back to an older bios or B: (and much simpler) I turn off quick boot and reboot to the NIC working just fine. I can only surmise that by skipping that bios step somehow XP doesn't get the necessary info to start the NIC properly?

Anyways at least my OC is working fine now.

    Default Ud3r (1.6)

Hi I have gotten my self a UD3R new rev 1.6 (came with FD bios) and am having trouble getting a stable oc (i7 920 batch 3939Bxxx).

I feel its to do with the bios. The latest bios here for that board does not detect on the usb drive however the bios from the official gigabyte site has no problem.

The bios from that site has 2 more files when you unzip it.

Please advise as to how I should go about updating the bios.

PS- I have already updated the bios to the one from the gigabyte site (From product page GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - BIOS - GA-EX58-UD3R (rev. 1.6) ), that bios did not work out well I tried using the files that came with it and using the bios file from here but still the board is not stable. Once I am sure I have a good bios we can discuss settings .

    Thanks
