As you know, they are working on it or you would not be testing Beta's. They will get it fixed, just maybe not until the final or a later Beta. Testing by users such as yourself, and providing your feedback here or to the thru the official channels gives them feedback and lets them know it is still not working.

Also Please do keep in mind, some of the official people who you reply to thru the official channel may or may not have any info/knowledge of the beta's you are using. They are the general Support team and likly do not speak with or get info from the BIOS team very often, but they will as they told you pass the info to them for sure

So just keep trying the latest until it is final and you know it works, or go back to the previous one and wait.

I do understand your frustration, but this is a Beta Thread and Beta's are just that. Bashing Gigabyte about something not working is not helping the effort nor is it acceptable as a Beta Tester or Gigabyte User........

So please just keep your thoughts about your findings during testing constructive, thanks!
I am not bashing anyone, just telling it like I see it.

F4 final had the bug, which is not beta testing. I emailed them about the problem after F4. Bug persists in F5a and F5b.

If GB had stated in their email that they are working on the problem, then I would be happy and patient, end of story. But from what I understood by email, they are not since it does not affect a non-overclocked system. If that is as you say, simply a disconnect between bios writers and general support than I would have no problem waiting for a fix.

But since the cursor disappears (cursor color issue) on pink/red volts so you can not tell which voltage you are changing until you type along with the other obvious and pervasive reset bug in OCed systems, I am not sure anyone even tests at higher volts let alone in OCed system, so not sure how a fix would come about. But proof will be in future bioses. If they fix the issue in future bioses, I will be happy to be proved wrong.

I would not care if they released 10 beta bioses with same bug, IF they were working on the bug, or IF they even considered it a bug since it does not occur at stock, that is the issue.

Ahh, Ok! I thought you had gave up and the bashing process was underway in your mind!

No biggie, I just wanted to let you know it was not cool

They host overclocking championships all year round, so the do support overclocking and I am sure those bugs will be found and fixed. Found by normal users reporting of course, and many users who are on the official Gigabyte Overclock teams will for sure let them know of the issues at hand.

Ya, I really do think the answers you are getting are both because you speak to people who likely do not know much about the beta BIOS's or the BIOS's progress in general and they are likely often a more or less Scripted type of reply as they likely get TONS of support questions and issues by people who overclock and know nothing about it. So that is probably the policy when it comes to the normal support channel is all.

They will consider it a bug for sure, and for sure it is a known issue and they are aware of it and working on it. Official support will voice they do not fix things that malfunction due to only overclocking but they for sure do! They fixed the S3 issues in P35/45 that only affected overclocked users.

It will be corrected for sure, just may take some time. As you see F4 had many Beta's and F5 seems to still be going thru the motions. It will get done, just be patient

Stasio could you plz email me the F4M bios for the X58 EXTREME mobo?

This is the reason why: before the extreme mobo i owned a X58UD5 and with the F4R bios i could reach bclk's from 225! Now with the extreme mobo i cant reach 210! I tested following biosses on the extreme :F4,F4J,F4L,F5a,F5b but couldnt get the same bclk as with the ud5.

You can mail it to nils.paelinck@telenet.be

    Thanks x1000

Thanks, that is music to my ears...and all I wanted to know. They should have you manage GB customer support, that was much more informative than the reply I received from them.

Not sure if its the best thread for, but I have simple question I can't find the answer: there was a x-fi mb driver available for download on GB website for the X58 mobos, anyone has more insight about this? Will that work as a software x-fi audio solution on top of the realtek hd driver? how is that going to work combined also with the dolby superset? Or is just another option? Is this driver provided as trial version? Do you need to buy it from Creative or from Gigabyte after that?
Thanks to any moderator in advance for any eventual responses.
