sirioo, if you won't mind me asking.. could you provide a screenshot of EasyTune at 4.0GHz and 4.2GHz?

My CPU overclocks nearly the same and I was curious about comparing voltages and all.

    Thanks

F10 has proven to be quite stable on my ex58-extreme, although i have noticed some issues:
    - system won't boot in win7 with HT OFF - it BSODs when loading win7 (with same OC and HT on ... no problems)
    - multiplier won't go below 12x (that means 2400mhz in my OC configuration). With the other BIOSs it went as low as 400mhz

Good part is that the multi seems to be fixed under full load - it stays unmoved at 21x

    Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to say Thanks for this thread. It has been very usefull. I just had a quick question, I will be buying a new Gigabye board to overclock a core i7920. I want to buy the best board, money is no problem. Do I get

X58A is just an update to the board with SATA 3 and USB 3. (Extreme and UD7 is the same)
If you want to overclock your i7 920 more than 4Ghz, then you'll likely need water, so you should prob. spend most of your money there if you plan to achieve the max overclock.

Hi Nhawk and thanks for answering my question. This forum is so helpful and knowledgeable. Yes, I will be going for watercooling. So now do I get GA-X58A-UD5 or GA-X58A-UD7 as they both have the new usb 3 and sata 3. They both seems to have the same thing. Which one of those would be the better of the two. Thanks again for all your help.
