Didnt know it had a new sata3 firmware as well :D am going to do new benchmarks..... *speeds off*
did u set the firmware to auto, rather than onboard? IF u set it to auto, it updates the firmware after the achi-boot

Yeh i did after seeing there was new firmware :)

Speeds are about the same according to my benchmarks.

Edit: After doing a few more tests, it would seem that the new sata3 drivers are actually slower than whichever was on previously when i was using F6 Test 1 BIOS from HiCookie. Hopefully something that will be addressed in the next BIOS.

Will there be a new BIOS for my G31M-S2C? I'm currently using F6c.

    Thanks!

There may not be, or may not for a long time. If no issues are found with that BIOS they may leave that as the last one until something needs addressed.

UD7 was F7d the other day when it was released IIRC. Any idea what the update brings? New Sata3 drivers with any luck :)

Well, mine has been rock stable since I assembled my rig last year. I guess its understandable to let past chipsets be.

    Thanks for the reply!

Ya, if there really isn't any problems reported, or nothing new/major needs added then they wont update them.

SB420, New BIOS updates above are to incorporate new Intel CPU Microcode
