Is there anything you guys can do about the POST sequence the Gigabyte EX58-Extreme goes through after saving BIOS settings? After I opt to save settings in BIOS the system shuts down immediately, turns back on, shuts down, turns back on and then the fan on my HD4870x2 video card fires up usually around 2-3 times and it finally finishes the POST. Going through all that becomes annoying after a while when your adjusting settings a lot. I've flashed to the most recent F5e BIOS and it still does it.

It's normal for X58 to act that way, mine did since the F3 bios, even the EVGA X58 is the same.

    Hello,

According to the GIGABYTE X58-Core i7 920 Overclocking Guide-PDF quote "Now you have chance to try your Core i7 920 by overclocking! For those confused by my instructions, you can download my BIOS profile and it will automatically use the same settings I just talked about. Even you don’t know how to set the options in
BIOS, just enter BIOS, then press F12 to reload my profile." Is there an actual profile file that I can download then upload? thanks!

the latest F5f and F5g BIOS's for the EX58-UD5 will not allow the system to wake from sleep mode with HT disabled

i swapped back to the F5e BIOS and it's working again

Stasio, all these beta BIOS are great.....but a little description of what exactly these new BIOS are addressing would be nice. I see little point in blindly flashing a BIOS without knowing if will actual improve anything.
I am running F7a BIOS, but ET6 stopped wanting to work once I did (well, it would start, but then get errors after a while and close). I DLed the latest version of ET6, but the problem remains. So obviously there is a conflict with some BIOS and ET6. Now if this beta BIOS said it addressed that issue, I might flash. If it said it improved overclocking and stability, I might flash. Or maybe there is an issue someone else is having and they may like a BIOS to address that, but without knowing if there is a fix for their problem, there is no point in flashing. There is no point in even releasing a BIOS, beta or not, without a description of what changes have been made.
I could be bounded in a nutshell and count myself king of infinite space, where it not that I have bad dreams.

    Default UD5 F5g

Seems to have fixed some things broken others

    Fixes
    1. The issue with not being able to post unless using x19 multiplier in certain BCLK ranges seems to be fixed

    2. The voltages for auto are being handled much better

    New Issues

    1. Using GSKILL 1600 sticks with XMP Profile, overclocking them even 1Mhz seems to lock up the post process with very loud beepings (even raising Voltages doesnt help) older F4 bios did not have this issue, keeping them at or below 1600 no issues

    2. Clock skews are wrong (700 700) until you press F7 in that menu, then they update correctly.

Have seen no other issues yet

    GA-EX58-UD5 - F5g

Mysteriously my system seemed to revert to the original F3 without my noticing. Had to reflash.
