I am now seeing the boot up pause while stating that it is "verifying DMI pool data" and a series of dots appear for about 10 seconds or so. This never happened before. Is this to be expected all the time now? Would this be occurring if I had cleared the DMI data while flashing in Q-flash?
I, too, saw the "series of dots" for the first time with the latest BIOS. I eliminated them by setting the hard drive as the first drive in the boot order (it had been the last).

Question about the Clock Drive BIOS default with x58a-UD7 (probably applicable to other x58a boards, too):

I think around F6 the BIOS defaulted to Clock Drive settings for 700 mV for both CPU and PCIE. The manual states 800 / 900 as the respective defaults.

Is 700 the correct new default, or should we be using 800/900 as our default?

    Thanks.

After flashing the BIOS, you should reload 'Optimized Defaults'. This should fix your issue. ;)
