That's what I finally figured as well. Would like to know where these betas are posted [not that I want to run one right now] and would definitely like to know where the changes that go into each bios are listed. Curious too how the Gigabyte bios update instructions/example only talk about a floppy and no other possible USB or hard drive. Thanks.

Also, my mobo says V1.1 and the BIOS listed on the Gigabyte website referred to the mobo as V1.0 and I saw nothing for 1.1 so in regards to this post saying to make sure you get a bios version to match your mobo version, is it OK to use the version listed for the 1.0 mobo on a 1.1 mobo?

Is there somewhere to read what changes went into a new version of the BIOS as I could not find this on the Gigabyte web site.

    Thanks, Dave
There are no differences between them it's exactly the same board with some cosmetics differences (fat ram slots and different sb and mosfet heatsinks)...

They are the same, page 1 of this thread. Bios for ver 1.0 = bios for ver 1.1.

What I meant was, is there a text file that shows what changes were made from F6 to F7 for the EP45-UD3P board.

For the UD3P, is the f7 bios considered best for overclocking?

I think what Gigabyte Engineer need addresses with issues for UD3P/R lists below.

    1. fix delay boot and instant cpu fan on when power up.
    2. fix 8GB/16GB memory boot problem.
    3. fix in bios sluggish scroll bar.
    4. fix in bios, MIT at motherboard voltage control fine-tuning.
    5. fix 1066/1333 ram speed problem. ( 1.9 to 2.4 volt working right out of box)

    1. add more compatible ram memory.
    2. add more quad CPU support old and new.
    3. add more details user-friendly in bios.

I guess they could do that easy quick fix ?

    Just my 2 cents.

So is there a list of what they DO fix in a particular bios?

I see refrences to newer bios files for the EX58-UP4D. Is there an actual site I can go to to see a list of the available bios files?
