I don't know if giga would hire him or put him on their payroll, a big company like that inst gonna want someone that unpredictable to be an unnecessary risk. But i can't believe they let him admin their website, and whats with him linking to his own site? I rarely meet people like him on the websites most people in this industry are fairly nice, like the guy who runs Mushkin is a good friend, hes the nicest guy i know. I can't believe a company like gigabyte would let someone like that represent him, i guess thats why hes not on their payroll.

Sorry this was wrong - he is Super Moderator not Admin. But there is not much difference since he can delete every posting he does not like what he does.

It is a great board but JZ is not easy and many people make the same experience. You don't get a customer feeling with him but just being the little boy who has to obey. I don't understand why Gigabyte lets him act there in such a way.

There are really great support people in this forum - Oberst, Mephisto (sadly no more) for instance. But the JZ style you have to like... It is very unusual for a customer service to put it like this.

Updated my now UD9 to bios F4.

    I almost went mad.

    Pc failed to boot.... OMG

pressed reset on back cmos..... eventually booted up, but only on ps2 keyboard.......

unplugged and plugged keyboard...... Phewww all is working again.

However i still get eratic behaviour in MIT,,, lights flas on/off on my cyborg keyboard....

Minor issue, but i thought this was solved from F3.

Also does it with F7 on ud7 board......

Just so you know, maybe someone could report this?

hello, not sure is it right place or not...but looks like here you can report bios problems?

in my system i have 1 ssd at port sata2_0 and 2x750gb seagate in ports sata2_1 and sata2_2. Few days ago i changed from GA-P55-UD3R/i5 750 to GA-EX58-UD5/i7-950 (bios f13m now) and now my raid1 is not working fine anymore, was ok for 2 days then it became degraded after first shutdown. At first drive 1 was problem, after few reboots drive 1 became ok, but drive 2 became problematic. My p55 board had raid bios version 9.5.****, but x58 have version 8.9.0.1023 and if you try to google, you can see that version is not good for raid, here is the link to intel forum: http://communities.intel.com/thread/...ullThread=true

how is it possible, that mb priced 120 euros has better bios compared to more powerfull and priced 250 euros? They still making new bioses for this model, so it is not old.

so, can someone who have contact with gigabyte try to explain them that it is "must" to update raid version to newer 9.5 or 9.6 like in p55 series, it is not so difficult if they already using it, or even downgrade to 8.8.**** if they dont like newer for some reason? because now i dont know what to do, cant complete building my system. Newer had so problematic motherboard. No bsods or lockups, just very big raid problems

flashing or pulsating keyboard lights are normal with the newer layout bios's,you have to enable usb keyboard in the bios for it to work as its disabled by default, my razer lycosa does the same thing lights pulse as bios scans status of voltages ect

Something's going wrong with my X58A-UD5 rev 2.0. When I had FA BIOS only 4 GB of 6 GB RAM got recognized at cold boot. When I updated to FB BIOS the problem was solved but many times the system crashes (Windows) and shows a blue screen saying "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT". I tested the RAM with memtest and sometimes there are errors. This problem has never occured with FA. Does anybody have a similar problem? I hope that there will be some fix in the future.
