it's nothing special aside from more vcore and OCP control which you cannot use on rev1 > have to mod

USB Keyboard Legacy support is Enabled from the beginning, right after flashing BIOS. And if i can enter bios, so i change USB Mouse Legacy Support Option to Enabled.

Can please somebody tell me what are this new options in GOOC BIOSes - OC lean mode and GOOC EXTREME CLOCK: This option removes OCP when enabled.
For UD5 - is this BIOS based on or FB or is it newer?

    Hello,

Having a problem with USB keyboard on EX58UD4P Rev 1.0 F14m

I updated to this bios to solve SMART detection issues with sandforce SSDs (Gskill phoenix pro in my case), which solved the problem.

However, now I am having USB keyboard issues, when AHCI is enabled.

I enabled USB keyboard and legacy support, but as soon as I turn on AHCI and native sata mode, I cannot get into bios anymore. even spamming DEL during the AHCI detection. I assume this is a problem with the USB keyboard support.

On CMOS battery clear I can get back into bios straight away.

Any one else having that problem?

Stasio talked about it on post #3533

Update with Special BIOS (GoOC 2010):

    GA-X58A-UD7 (2.x) - GOOC2010.WWF

    - 1. Bios is based on X58A-UD9 bios from 20/8/2010 and X58A-UD7 FB6 bios with a few additions
    2. GOOC Lean Mode: disables various options on the fly including smart fan, power states and turbo, LOGO screen, enables USB keyboard/mouse and disables various third party IC functions which are not necessary for extreme OC
    3. VCORE RANGE: from 1.0V up to 2.1Vcore (I wonder if there will actually be CPUs that scale with volts up to 2.1 lol)
    4. GOOC EXTREME CLOCK: This option removes OCP when enabled
    5. GOOC EXTREME TEMP: This options may improve cold bugs when enabled depending on CPU.

You can try setting a HDD delay of 4-5 seconds. This will give enough time for the board to detect the keystroke before it goes straight to the AHCI detection screen.

Thanks, I figured out that OC lean option :-)
But still don't understand what Extreme Clock and Extreme Temp do.
