guys are you aware of the problems using the realtek onboard audio on X58A UD3R and X58 UD3R, some other models too ? i came thru this cauz as a musician i never run onboard audio but use an external pro audio RME multiface card that unlucky has a PCI firewire interface so my SLI covered the PCI slot...im waiting for a Startech PCIe to PCI adapter to try it, so meanwhile i activated onboard audio...i have all my OC passed linx memtest etc...but soon as i installed Realtek drivers BSOD freezes and looped prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr noises came up on music and games...i dedicated some days to figure out and solved when i removed realtek drivers and use MS ones...Last nite i decided to upgrade to F7e...and problem returned badly, i reseted CMOS, did zillion things and same this time MS driver no longer worked...Today i saw new bios again, so i flashed and this time its working again...

some proofs of my stable OC on GTX460 SLI

all this went BSOD and crahes as soon as audio onboard was activated

Never had an issue with the onboard audio card on the GA-EX58-UD3R (rev. 1.0) or Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 1.0), with either the Microsoft or Realtek driver and I had every bios since version F1.

Gigabyte apparently stopped releasing BIOS updates for X58 series

Yes, I've never heard of anyone having sound issues related to an overclock. I run massive ones and never have any issues with onboard either?

Maybe your PSU, are you sure it's not coil whine you are hearing through the audio or DPC latency issues?

Yes, you can check but you need to familarize yourself with the below mentioned tools.

I'll mod you a BIOS and send via PM, it is up to you to risk the flash as I can't test it.

Do you know how to recover by booting from the Backup BIOS? If so, and the flash is bad you will have no problem recovering!

I've never messed up a mod, but I have also never switched out this group ROM you are asking to be switched, but I can do the mod easy, give me a sec and I'll PM it to you.

Are you sure that is what you want? I thought you wanted an older ROM into a new BIOS?
