I mean they are beta bios's for a reason, they are not perfect. Flashing bios resets settings have you gone in and made sure that you have disabled/enabled everything correctly?

Hello I am an fresh owner of the GA-EP35C-DS3R . ( 30 days)

I run with the F4 not overclocked.
I had some small issues related with the proper voltage:
For the OCZ Value pro. ( but found by my self that needed just a bit over vol-ting)
The CPU Q6600 had issues to get proper voltage, its and every time with the automatic Bios detection, ( solved the issue by just setting an voltage value manually)
With such small improvements here and there, I got my system , rock stable at stock frequency .

And I do love the how the D.E.S. lowers down the core voltage , and keeps the CPU cool , and saves energy too.

    I use XP Pro Sp3 | RAID-1 and AHCI .

I do not have an complain to make , other that I do not know , with out to read all those 370 pages , what is the current bug fixes , from any GA-EP35C-DS3R Bios up to the F5b.

I am not afraid to test it, but because I am some how expert, its would be best to was informed with an text file, supplied with the new bios as revision log.

I will monitor this thread for an reply ... thanks in advance .

I did try the F5b , and I had issues with "waking out after sleep mode".
    And with cold boot.
The MB at any Bios corruption of the F5b, it was re-flashing back to F4.
    And so, no worries .

At the Intel raid controller boot up , the F5b showed the message that the data on this array are encrypted ( with purple text) .
The D.E.S. software did not liked the latest Bios,
and it turned off the windows service , until to manually set it on, and even so there was some issues with the graphics,
the economy selections was not available. ( low - mid -high )

Did not spot any other visible differences.
But an new question had just born ... what some one must do , in order the backup bios to hold the copy of the last flashed one ?

It will set both of them in there automatically.

And if it was that simple , why I had to flash two times my Bios , so to re enter the latest? (after failure )

    I need some SOLID explanations.

Do you need to update both BIOSes to the same version, is that what you are asking?

If so, you press ALT + F12 at bootup to copy the MAIN BIOS onto the Backup BIOS.

Sleep resume will only work once you are sure you are 100% Tested stable.

DES and or Easytune MUST be the latest versions to work with the latest BIOSes, latest versions of those programs can be downloaded here

Hello , thanks for the (ALT + F12 at bootup) tip.

I use only the "Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced" _ B10.0309.1_2010/04/29
And not other software , i do not overclock , got my ram at 533 , with out to have in mind to get this Gigabyte board.
And it looks that my memory are good just for stock speeds.

I just discover the Gigabyte templates, and so at my next message I will be better prepared.

    Thanks.

I love how they release bios's for old boards, i can't imagine how long they will keep updating my UD5 bios, probably longer than i will keep the board.
