Hmm i'm quite sure i got rev.1 mobo but cpu-z showing rev 12? any other software to clarify, just to make sure?

Anyway, is it ok to use GA-X58A-UD5- F7E? knowing i got GA-X58 Extreme not A version.

    Thanks!

There was only one version of the EX58-UD5. You want F13q.

The revision part in CPU-Z shows the revised motherboard chipset. If you have EX58, it will be 12. X58A will be 13.

EX58-UD5, EX58-Extreme, X58A-UD5(Rev1), X58A-UD5(Rev2) These are 4 separate boards and require there separate bios. There is one exception, EX58-UD5 and EX58-Extreme can be crossed flash as they are they Exact same board except the Extreme has different cooling for the northbridge.

To find your exact motherboard model look in the mainboard tab of CPU-z, it will say in the second entry "Model"

And then for revision, look on the bottom corner of your board on the PCB under the PCI/PCIE slots

Sorry for all this confusion, you just mentioned you had UD5 on the last page so I was lost?

And I did see Extreme in your signature, but since you said UD5 instead of UD7 I assumed you just had not updated your sig yet.

EX58-UD4P can also be crossflashed to EX, and I assume the new UD5 and UD7 can be switched too since they are the exact same minus the heatsinks.

No problem man, it was my fault.

Hehe i always tought the GA EX58 Extreme and GA EX58 Extreme UD5 are same boards, but after some research i found out that's not the case.

Anyway in short, if i got problem with F13q which is the only i could find for GA EX58 Extreme on the first page, can i use UD5 based bios without any problems? thanks!

    CPU-Z shows,

    EX58 Extreme.

They are pretty much the same, EX58 - UD4P/UD5/EX are all about the same minus the heatsink and some of the other hardware onboard.

They can all be flashed between each other though.

It's not advisable to use UD5 BIOS for your board since you have the better of the three, but you could if you want but you need a special flasher.

    What is the problem again?

They are official Beta BIOS yes, so if F13q is the latest for your board it's the latest official beta

Official Final BIOSes are available on the download pages at Gigabyte's site per your motherboard, we only host Beta ones here most of the time.
