Yep, F5E and F5C are to me the better ones, at list to my rig.

Ghz, can u make CL7 at 1600mhz with your dominators?

These Corsir only use elpida chips, I only bought em cos they were cheap

I've had em at 7-8-7 1600, but not sure how stable they were as i was only running a couple of tests

For 24/7 use i don't even run my mem at 1600 as i know mem speed makes very little difference and CPU speed is what mainly counts.
When benchmarking, sure, fast mem makes sense for the final couple of points or last millisecond, but in daily use i don't notice the difference

i run my system at 191x21 for 4011 cpu and 1528 mem

    Thanks!

    Why HT off ??

Here I can have same config as you with HT ON, no problem.

because my chip is pretty crap and needs over 1.4v for full stability @ 4ghz with HT on :(

it also keeps my temps much lower...
and since i don't do any folding@home or the like, HT is pretty much useless to me at the moment for games

the only benefit i see so far are 3dmark vantage scores

    Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and this is my first Intel product. I have been a long time AMD user but have decided to go Intel this time around. I just picked up a I7 920, GA-EX58 Extreme and a 6gb set of Dominator 1866 (TR3X6G1866C9DF) memory which I don't know if overkill. Anyhow, my plans are to get an overclock of 3.8 if possible. I don't really care about s3 or AHPI/Raid setups. Which bios should I go with? My main thing is stability. I contemplated in going to F5H right off the bat, but don't know if that would be a good idea. Also, is it wise to leave everything stock when installing the os or should I do the overclock first?

    Thanks,

    Drakos
