I'm back. Just wanted to thank you guys for the work...and I seem to have encountered a new bug.

I've noticed that F7d and F7e occasionally take a LONG time for the initial memory check. After ~3mins it will finally say "Installed Memory: 12xxxxxxxxxK" and continue to post quickly.

I have tried enabling Quick Boot with no success.

    Relevant Specs:
    GA-X58A-UD5 (Rev. 1 w/ F7e)
    Intel i7-950
    12GB (3x4GB) G.Skill DDR1600 RipJaws

This only happens with those two BIOS, others are fine? Have you tested the other ones lately, if so, to be sure they still are fine?

Sounds like you are not very stable, or maybe have some faulty sticks.

Have you tested for stability, if so for how long and with what programs?

Have you tested each stick one at a time also?

Are you setting your own memory voltage, uncore, and QPI/Vtt?

Will there be any new Bios for the Ud7 in the near future or even a final?

    QPI Slow?

Would be surprised if that was not fixed, would be a bit daft if not as it is high end gear connected to there Mb, that would be a bad advertisement for gig if not fixed.

also i am Nam.uk off gig site mate, posted a link about EuP enabled, i should of registered as same name to stop confusion, me and others lol

Everything is 100% stock. To me there is no point in CPU overclocking as real-world gaming performance only shows a maybe ~5% increase. My GPUs are overclocked, but I doubt that has any relation to my RAM.

And yes, it only started happening with F7d.

I'll run Memtest 86+ overnight tonight and let you know the results.

If it only happens with F7d, then go back to the previous BIOS to verify.

If you are using all Auto for voltages and settings, please make a note of what they all are in Easytune (Not the BIOS) and then come back to the new BIOS and see if they get set the same way, if not adjust accordingly.

Also, some BIOS you can;t use old settings, that would apply if you are using Auto as well, so you may need to manually set a few things, which you should have done in the past anyway for best stability.

The FE Bios for the X58A-UD3R (Rev 2) fixed my start/stop/start cold boot issue with this board.
