Default setting in "Optimized Defaults" is different than in "Fail-Safe Defaults".

After clear CMOS values,BIOS reset to "Fail-Safe" mode with factory default setting.
Please, check the values with "Load Optimized Defaults"-optimal-performance system operations and "Load Fail-Safe Defaults"-minimal-performance system operations.
    Always load the Optimized defaults
after updating the BIOS or after clearing the CMOS values.
Or,values is change for this BetaBIOS.

Can you ask them why hibernate and sleep/S3 *still* isn't fixed in F5 or F6a for the UD5 please Stasio?

I'm still stuck on F5e because of this problem

F5 is officially skipped and F6a is on Gigabyte site.
S3(for some of them working) will be fixed probably in the future revisions.
    Added new BetaBIOS:
    GA-EX58-UD4 - F4b
    GA-EX58-UD3R-SLI - F3a
    Improvements:
*Fix abnormal messages from EasyTune 6 and DES in Vista
*Feature Backup BIOS images to HDD

Any feedback for UD5 v. 6a, with respect to 5x in particular?

I had recently updated my UD5 board to F5g (I think. Can't remember for sure as I'm at work.) and can no longer OC with my usual settings: 19x200 with 1.4v vCore and 1.34 QPI, with 1600MHz spec DDR3. prime95 stable for hours.
The only way I can get up to my 3.8GHz setting is with 20x190, but that is not even stable. It'll lockup the second I run prime95. I don't plan on bumping up any voltages to get where I was.
I went ahead and reverted back to the F4 BIOS and have experienced the same results. ??? (I always load Optimized Defaults after a flash and have double-checked and double-checked again my settings.
So, what do you think happened? If you need more specs, let me know.

It would seem to most that the obvious culprit is that something changed in my settings. But, if there is a particular BIOS behavior that can contribute to this response, let me know.

    kind regards,
    MAJ

i use 5d with my ud5, my setup like that one better than enny newer release, 5 final or 6a do have more agressive timings i suppose, requires a lot more volts or no go oc that works with 5d. scores higher in everest read copy & write test 5d and 6a.. but stick to 5d.
    UD5@Extreeme bios, I7 920@~ water cooled, OCZ 1600LV6GK, hd 4870x2 (Asus Top bios) water cooled. TX850w, LG 19" wide. 2x wd250ks sata raid 0 ( Win 7, 64bit)
