Unfortunately, F6A still doesn't fix the cold boot issue when BCLK>150 with DS4 and 12GB RAM ( warm boot works fine). Hope this gets fixed soon... my CPU seems to be quite capable as (warm boot) up to 165BCLK at 1.1375V works fine ( and is stable).

S3 does not work well for me either with F5 or F6a on the Extreme :(

Still nice to see Gigabyte is working on new BIOS's :)

I did a bios upgrade today to the extreme f5 today. After I flashed booted into bios and set optimized bios settings and rebooted. Had to go away for a few minutes and when I came back I had multiple boxes on my desktop showing new hard drives, dvd's, ich controllers, usb devices, and even asking me to activate windows again. Ive updated many bios's before over the years and never seen this behavior before. Was wondering if anyone else has seen this. Everything went ok, running stable and no other issues, but weird.

I think that there is an option in the bios to select os as plug and play to configure your hardware vs bios. I think that is why it is happening.

Any news on a "non-beta" x48-ds4 bios, or it dead (EOL)?

GHZ or anyone else, can you tell me how I can find a copy of BIOS F5E for the UD5?

    Digital Dreamer,
I had an experience similar to yours today. I was getting a 4Ghz overclock with F3 and F4 on my UD5, but when I tried F5 or F6a I couldn't come close to that overclock any more, so I returned to F4. Now F4 wouldn't overclock the same! It turns out, though, that I noticed the voltage under Prime95 was low, and then I remembered I hadn't activated Load Line Calibration. I made that change and now F4 works as it did before. I may have to try F5 and F6a again, because I'm really baffled by the lack of overclocking with those two versions.
