pros/cons in detail betwen F8b ? And what settings do you suggest for 5.0 Ghz? how important is qpi/vtt for stability and what is suggested voltage for that? This is the setting i have not been changed yet, but i am so far stable 20 runs with linx @5.0Ghz with 1.430 voltage set in bios. thanks in advance

Haven't seen an f8b yet, but pros between f7b and this one are simple...... new one needs more voltage to be stable. Qpi/Vtt in important if you're trying to run high speed memory. I have mine set at 1.18v, as I'm running some 1600mhz ram at 2134mhz. Lastly, linx isn't chit for these chips.... Prime95 blend 1hr is the ONLY way you should be testing for stability.

I saw that already on FC bios but very rare. With FD it happens every single time and I cannot boot into windows at all.
I rolled back to FC, and system boots fine and everything works as usual.
I use Smart6 program and Energy Saver 2.0 if that matters.

    System is:
    X58A-UD5 rev 2.0
    I7 920 (191x19=3630MHz)
    3x2Gb Corsair Dominator
    ATi 5870
    Creative X-Fi Titanium (pci-e in x8 slot)
    Logitech usb keyboard and mouse
boot drive is Intel X-25M 80gb ssd
two 1tb hdds (wd and samsung)
Send in a report so they are aware of the issue

Did you test with all USB devices removed, just to see if it's one of them causing a hang?

Please flash your backup BIOS to a newer BIOS, then you wont have to do that everytime.

@Lsdmeasap: I did test all the devices, and it was random. But I also found out that when I plug my logitech g19 keyboard in and in my G19 my HTC Touch pro 2 then it has a bigger chance to crash, and this is wheird because i had that bios from the day it came out, and the problem started only last week, did nothing to my config or so, so it just happend somtime. Now i havent had a crash for 3 days now, strange.

Hmm, maybe some driver conflict or program then? You could try to roll windows back to before the issues started and see if they go away, if so then you'll know it's something on the software side of things.

Nice to hear it's been ok for the past few days though! Maybe you can leave it and it will act right from now on :)
