Does anyone have any information on if/when Gigabyte will update Q-Flash to work with the newer larger BIOS sizes?

Here goes.

With bios F4 (all fine) on my ud9,
have ssd c300128 on sata 6 slave device
have ssd c300256 as boot device on sata6 master

This config works perfect.

Installed F50 beta.

both ssds not detected.
Ok to fault find, so plugged boot ssd256 into a standard sata2 port

pc then booted from ssd 256 and other slave 128ssd was also seen.

So now in windows, with boot ssd now running at sata2 and other ssd as slave working fine in sata3 mode.

Connecting the boot ssd back to the sata6g port, stops both ssds from being seen in bios.

So then tried with only boot ssd, and still not seen in bios.

So i think im gonna go back to F4 now.

Just thought id let you know f50 dont work for me on ud9, so you guys can sort it hopefully.

I did notice a faster boot with this bios, but thats prob down to sata ports not all working.

Will confirm all is ok when i reinstall bios F4.

I have a ud7, but no bits to assemble it into a test pc, but if i do, i will give that bios a test.

Gone back to F4 bios now on my ud9, and Pheeeeeew !!!! all working again.

Both ssds recognised and running on the marvel sata6g ports again, prob gonna wait for final NON beta F5 as beta is exactly that a beta sadly.

[QUOTE=Alicea;386724]About flashing BIOS<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Older BIOSes are 1M. Newest 2M. Each contain the tool Q-BIOS suitable for its size (so you can use it for flashing BIOS of same format). Similarly the program FLASHSPI attached by Gigabyte to a BIOS data file is right for it. But if you are going to replace a smaller BIOS with bigger one (or opposite) - you have to use the newest @BIOS, as it is the only tool which reformatting a flash memory of your motherboard.
