    Feedback time .... for X58A-UD3R ver 2.0

    Settings :

    i7 950 200 x 20 ( 1.26v ) - peripheral voltages also changed . ( If anyone wants , I'll list them )
    Corsair XMS3 1600 Cl8 6gb kit @ 8-8-8-24 1.66v
Using iCH10R - AHCI enabled booting from WD 1Tb Green

I was usiing FF2 , that worked fine for me .
    Tried FF8 ( revoked ) , didn't work , reverted to FF2 .
Tried FF9 , that worked fine for me .

I will now try FF10 and see how that works for me .

Thanks again to Stasio and lsdmeasap for moderating and upkeeping this thread , and Gigabyte techies continually striving for better BIOS for their boards . Many people take all this for granted . It is an unfathomable task to get every type of HHD , SSD , memory module etc... ad infinitum to work on one motherboard and it is amazing that motherboard manufacturers continually strive to achieve this .

So stop all the complaining and think for a while - remember that your feedback in this forum helps the manufacturer develop their product .

And good luck with the new BIOS testing!
    It's a pleasure bud !

Just tried FF10 in X58A-UD3R ver 2.0 rebooted and pc recovered from secondary bios and reverted to FE . PC rebooted and screen was blank ( this is with @BIOS ver.B11.0112.1 set to load defaults after reboot ) .

Maybe I didn't wait long enough ? ( although it seemed like quite a while )

    Nice to hear it, thanks!

Don't use @BIOS! Please try with Qflash, if it's one of the 2MB files then please try with FlashSPI.

If you do try with @BIOS, you should always also check the "Clear DMI Pool" box before the flash, not sure that would help in this instance though.

I'd advise not using @BIOS unless you absolutely have to, which you don't in this case.

Ok - I tried again ( before reading your advice - thanks though ) and first updated to official FF from Japanese server - and set AHCI , correct boot device , default clocks , memory ect. .

I then updated to FF10 ( X58A-UD3R ver. 2.0 ) with @BIOS ( clear dmi pool unchecked , load setup defaults unchecked ) . Works fine now - haven't tried any overclocking and am running Prime95 as I type this .

    :)

Does this mean that if you flash this then Q-flash would work for the 2 MB bios's in the future or will it still not work?
