Gigabyte support emailed me BIOS F5b for my GA-H67MA-UD2H-B3 and it has fixed this phantom floppy controller issue. After flashing F5b, I went into the Device Manager and the floppy controller was gone. Just to make sure, I did that registry edit that allows you to display devices that were previously connected to the PC, but are no longer connected. The floppy controller showed up in that showing that it was previously connected. I right clicked on it and uninstalled / removed it then rebooted.

After Windows started up again, I went back into the Device Manager and the floppy controller is definitely gone.

The forum says the file size is too big so I couldn't attach it. Here's a link to where I uploaded it though:

Ill just ask here so i get a prof answer: Would there be any problem updating the BIOS with a RAID on the system? Its the first time im using RAID, so im not sure if it would destroy the array or something similar...

Thanks in advance, and thanks also for all this years of new bioses :D

You should list exactly which mother board you are referring to just to make sure you there is no problems. But I currently use intel raid on my p45-ud3p and on EX58-UD5, X58A-ud5 rev 2 boards and have no problems. You wont lose your data. Same should be true for the Gigabyte sata controller but I can not be positive.

Yeah, im on a EX58-UD5, drives are RAID0 on the intel controller, using the Intel Rapid Storage software. Was planning on updating to F13t, as theres some time now since the last beta BIOS (should have some new and interesting updates/stability).

PD: Was updating the signature, sry about that :P
