It shouldnt matter but i would disable the other controllers if you are not using them.

Yes, it shouldn't matter if you have AHCI enabled for all or just one, but as Ace mentioned you should disable stuff you are not using.

AHCI should work if RAID works, and visa versa as they use the same ROM. I'd say his BIOS edit and mine are probably exactly the same.

Jay113, if you use AHCI with no disks connected will it boot all the way to boot disk error/NO OS message? If so, try it again with your hard drive connected (First SATAII_0) port, but with no CD/DVD drive connected as mentioned, then if it boots you will know the CD/DVD drive is the issue. If it still fails then connect an older drive if you have one and remove the CD/DVD drive, if it then boots add back the CD/DVD drive and see if it still works.

If it does, then there is something wrong with your main hard drive. I have seen this before, a working drive that was still in some way faulty causing AHCI/RAID to not work, but worked fine in IDE mode and was eventually replaced with another drive that exhibited no issues.

I tried you bios (LSD) and same thing again. I don't use RAID mode.
I disabled AHCI for other chipsets => same issue. I disconnected all SATA devices (I have 1 SATA DVD drive + 1 SSD + 2 HDD) => same issue. (By way the way I didn't try to remove my IDE DVD drive)
Just after the BIOS splash screen, I don't see the AHCI bios. I have a 3 secs blank screen, and reboot, Again and again. I have to swich off my PSU if I want to boot successfully.
I saw the POST error code on my mobo. The reboot appends when the debug LED shows 89.

Remove the IDE drive/drives, I bet that is probably the problem for sure! Sorry I missed you mentioning that.

You can get a SATA DVD drive for about $20, it's time :) (Ohh, I see you have one, so why keep using the IDE then?)

I found the problem. My usb keyboard : Logitech Illuminated. And I think there is no solution for the moment. When I use a "normal" keyboard, I don't have this problem

Pass that along to gigabyte support they might be able to do something in bios for it. This happens on unmodded bios correct?
