Thanks stasio I appreciate it. Seems to work well. :) I don't get it though; why the "latest Bios" updates wouldn't be posted on the Gigabyte sites. I just assumed they themselves were the source of the updates and their websites, the natural places to post first. But whatever the case, thanks again!

    Thanks!!!

Indeed, if at all possible stop posting exe's - I don't even like the rar's, zip's are the most friendly you could be :-) Just for reference gigabyte - I bought my GA-EX58-Extreme mobo soley for linux usage :D it is possible to decompress these exe's with wine it seems however.. but still, just post in zips.... every platform has great zip support.

S.T.A.S.I.O. THANKS 1 million million times for F6b bios for the UD5, it has fixed double boot issue with my Corsair Dominator 1600 3gb tripple channel ram and now runs the xmp profile with 1.35 qpi, Its nice to have faith restored in my hardware, I do not overclock the system and all is well. Thanks again, regards. Simon.

Thanks Stasio!! Nevion has a good point--I think that .zip would be the most system-friendly...I don't use Wine, so I can't even use it to convert--I have had 0 use for Windows & Windows software for over 5 years now & really don't want things in my system that are windows-based....

This Motherboard is one of the most Linux-friendly ones I've used in years & BIOS updating is one of the last things that tends to "need" a system I want nothing to do with...

By the way--My SETI scores have really shot up--Thank you Gigabyte for making a nice stable platform!!!!! I'm running my 920 at a very stable 3.3ghz & it's ripping thru WU's like they are 10k text files!!!!

    thanks stasio

Just flashed the F6b, the only change i think i see from F5 final for the UD5 is the return of the "Backup BIOS Image to HDD" option under adv bios features
can you give us any more info/details about the option please?
how does it work and does it work with ntfs formatted drives?

    also, i was wondering.
CAS latency reading 4 after resuming from S3 sleep - is this a BIOS bug or is it software related?
