Sometimes if the BIOS works great they will leave it at that, are you having issues?
No, actually I have a nice stable OC @ 3726 with F3 and haven't even tried the F4a. This is partly a work platform and I really see no reason to push it any further. I was just wondering out loud, thats all!

Anybody with an EX58-UD4P tried either F6 final or F7c to see if the overclocking issues have been fixed? I really don't want to give up my totally stable 3.33 Ghz clock.

    pZilla and others,
when flashing to new BIOS with Q-Flash,stable BIOS or stable BIOS Profile, can be saved/load on/from HDD/USB (Fat 32/16/12)with F11/F12 key.Complete BIOS is 1024 KB and BIOS Profile takes only 288 bytes.
    Before flashing be sure that:
    Keep DMI Data - Enable
Load CMOS Default - Disable (BIOS start with your last Profile)
After restart,BIOS will load with your stable Profile=>Save (Profile1-8) and Load Optimized Defaults. If new BIOS have issue or major bug, anytime go back to your "stable" (saved) BIOS
    Edit:
After Main BIOS update successfully, system will reboot and during POST, please press Alt + F12 key to update Backup BIOS

EX58-DS4 F5 BIOS now allows cold boot when BCLK>150 ( with 12GB RAM), but there are 2 caveats:

    - There is a small BCLK 'hole' where the board still wouldn't POST after a cold boot, the hole on my board is 150 to 160. After that it'll work 'fine'.

    - If power is completely removed from the board ( ie. plug pulled out, not just power off from an ACPI shutdown) it will take 3 tries for the board to cold boot properly ( ie have to go into BIOS 3 times to change the BCLK)

In either case, warm boot works perfectly fine, so I still think it is a BIOS issue.

Really? I always disable it so the DMI pool will be rebuilt with any new hidden visible or non visible settings. Or are you just saying that to go along with trying to use profiles when updating the BIOS? Either way, I would be disabling it, loading optimized defaults after the flash and then save/apply and reboot back to the BIOS and Then load the profile if need be

I have never had any issues overclocking with F5, F6x or F7x. What "issue" did you mean exactly?

The S3 and triple start seems to be present in all of them when overclocking, except f6c seemed to be ok on the triple start. As for overclocking itself, they all overclocked fine for me. So please do elaborate your question

The problem is that any bclk over 150 doesn't even post at stock voltage, and reverts back to a bclk of 133.. This does not happen with bios F5.

Ahh, well maybe that is all in your settings? Stock voltage may or may not work at that Blck, it is not stock so obviously more tweaking may be needed. Do keep in mind settings that work fine in one BIOS may not in another as all BIOS are different and some may need more or less of any of several given settings

I have used F6 final, F6c, F6e, and F6d without any issues and F7a, F7b, and F7c without any issues. I have ran 190-210 Blck without issue on all of them.

I have not however tested anything less Blck wise so I could not say for sure if I have issues with any of them at 133-190 Blck
