LSD, yeah gone back to F5. Only reason i tried F6, is that i just cant resist testing new bioses.

Tried the usual firmware force etc,

Seems this new F6b is different again, not too impressed a problem would be sorted then reintroduced with the next beta.

With F6, it kills both channels on marvel controller this time, not just 1 port.

Also, do you have a thread here, or just the comments and replies in this thread?
i thought I had replied to this...

Just in case, I didn't start a thread in here. Did you receive my pm with the ticket number? It's not listed in the 'sent items'...

Ya, you replied back on the page before this one. And yes, I got your PM and am sending in a request on this issue right now, I'll let you know when I hear back, it wont be until next week at the earliest though and it could be a bit longer depending on how busy the BIOS engineers are with other issues.

well am running the F6b bios for my X58A-UD9
and I love it, works perfect

allthough everytime I update my SATA 3 firmware, I hang on VERIFYING DMI POOL DATA
untill I switch SATA3 FIRMWARE back to AUTO, also seems I have to set GSATA_RAID_CONFIG to AUTO as well (or I hang)
(but I assume that is just the way it is meant to update?)

Nice, but makes me wonder what the issue is on mine though.

will look at your spec and try to find out the issue.

Then maybe i will have another go at some point.

Does anyone know the list of changes in the f5f BIOS for P67A-UD3-B3? I'm currently on f4 and not sure what the new BIOS brings...

    Hi everyone,

Is there a way to update the Intel Management Firmware from within the bios? I've seen it done with other vendors but can't decode where it resides in these bios's.

    Thanks.

Whats the changelog on the Z68P-UD4-B3 F7d bios? I'm using it and currently have no complaints. Merely curious. Thanks :)

    Hi,

I would like to ask which bios version you consider best (troublefree) for GA-X58A-UD7 rev. 1. I use inel x25m 160gb SSD in ahci mode (for the trim function to be able to work) and ide for my sata 3 barracuda xt 2TB HDD.

Also another question... is there a way to power down the PC (through bios) when CPU temp exceeds a threshold or CPU fan speed is zero? I know about the warning sound, but would prefer an auto powerdown function... I am about to install a watercooling loop, so these autopowerdown features would be very helpful to me...

    Thank you!

    Hi Guys,

Got a report back from the BIOS team already on testing for both of these issues, and they were unable to replicate either issue but I did send back a few questions to them about each. I also have a question or two for each of you

    @ Pablo -

    1. The C300 SSD on X58A-UD9 issue:

I have re-tested this issue with C300 SSD and F5 BIOS, but cannot see any detection problem.
I connected the C300 to the Marvell GSATA3 port 6 in AHCI and Bypass mode, but the system always can detected the SSD without problem.
I also tried to install the Win 7 to the C300 and still no problem has found.
My suggestion: This user can make sure whether his C300 is faulty or not.

    My configuration:

    Model: X58A-UD9
    CPU: i7 930
    RAM: 3x G.SKILL 2GB DDR3-1600
    BIOS: F5, F5q
    SSD: Crucial C300 SSD
So is testing you are doing with your new C300 that you know is not faulty? And did you test both ports, with and without Bypass mode set in the BIOS?

    @ kira1985 -

    2. P35-DS3P with Q8400 CPU issue:

I have tried to test this issue with the Q8400 CPU but the system is working fine after flashed to the BIOS form F11 to F13b, please see below picture for reference.
I just want to know how this user flashing the BIOS? Is he using the Q-FLASH or other tools such like FLASHSPI? Did he keep the DMI date when flashing BIOS (MUST NOT keep the DMI data)? Can he make sure the BIOS was successfully updated without any fail when flashing BIOS?

    My configuration:

    Model: P35-DS3P 2.0
    CPU: Q8400
    RAM: 2x OCZ 2GB DDR2-1066
    BIOS: F11, F13b

Do you still have the E6750 CPU? If so, can you please put it back in, and try the new BIOS F13b again with Qflash, and be sure you are setting "Keep DMI Data" to disabled before you flash.

If that does not work, can you try again with FlashSPI using the following command:

    FlashSPI.exe bios-file-name.Fxx /C /D /E /R

So for example, be sure you enter the spaces

    FlashSPI.exe p35ds3p.F13b /C /D /E /R

If you do not have a floppy, here's how to make a bootable USB Stick so you can run FlashSPI from DOS via USB, see first post here
    http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...ash-guide.html

To boot from USB you need to ensure USB Storage or Legacy USB is enabled in integrated peripherals BIOS page, and then on bootup hit F12 during startup where you'd normally hit Del to enter the BIOS. This will bring up the boot menu, then choose HDD+ and on the next screen choose your USB stick by name. Please leave the USB Stick connected the whole time, you can't plug it in after you boot.

If you can't get it flashed via Qflash, or DOS Via USB, let me know and I'll make you a CD DOS ISO that you can use.
