i did disable the 'keep dmi data' thing when flashing with q-flash. I tried flashing all bioses with the E6750 before switching to the Q8400 just in case something could go wrong, and faced the issues with F11 and F12 bioses. I gave up and prayed the Q8400 would work anyways after reading some people's comments about it being recognized though not officially supported by their mobo's bioses. It does work, the mobo shows it as a random 8x333 2.66ghz cpu but the sse4.1 support is missing according to cpu-z.

Yes, I have a usb stick - used it for q-flash - and will give the flashspi a shot asap.

    Thanks again, mate.
Thanks for the quick reply, I thought you might have missed my reply previously.

Can you please post some images of what exactly you are looking at that makes you think the CPU is not properly recognized. Be sure you use the latest versions of any tools such as AIDA/Everest, CPU-z, ect.

Also, what does it show up as on the post screen as shown in the above image, Q8400?

I assume you are talking about F6b.?

Its the F6b bios that fails, locks at detecting ide drives like the issues with older bioses.

    Have pmed you.
Yes, sorry, it looks like the BIOS guys didn't get that I meant the latest beta BIOS, and then I missed their comment about testing F5. Sorry!

I've passed along your info sent Via PM, and let them know we got mixed up and they need to test the new Beta F6b instead of F5.

Thanks for the update, I'll keep you posted!

What happened to the Z68 UD7 beta F8E bios? It was here yesterday, and I've installed it but I now see that it's replaced by the previous F8c version.

Should I take this as a sign to revert to f8c?

Really? Will Touch BIOS be implemented in P67 chipsets? I have a P67A-UD4-B3.

    Thanks in advance.
