lol the FK2 bios for GA-EX58-UD3R rev. 1.6 killed my RAID array. The RAID bios was COMPLETELY missing. Skipped the whole "press ctrl+I to enter RAID BIOS" screen and the BIOS never saw my "sata1" array. Nor did windows. Had to revert to FK1(luckily I had it saved on a flash drive) with Q-Flash.

What exactly is the purpose of the "Quick Boot" function under Avanced BIOS Features? I must confess I see zero difference with it enabled or disabled...

    (I got EX58-UD5 on F13w)

On cold boot it doesn+t check memory so boot process is faster.

It should skip memory on every boot not just cold boot. Also you should notice you dont see the IRQ list. That gets skipped.

I never notice those because my screen takes a little longer to respond I guess. So by the time I got picture I already see the windows boot logo. But that aside I meant I see zero difference, speed-wise.

Is anybody aware of the EFI Bios release date.

If you are referring that the bios has a graphical interface, I heard when x79 is release.

There is anything else with this F5 bios on this motherboard? F4 was the same update for 22nm... They fix bugs from F4? I had F4 and it was making double the time to post, switched back to F3 and its rock solid stable on 4.0 ghz with i5 2500k
