Will Gigabyte ever release an UEFI BIOS for Z68 boards?

That board is pretty prehistoric :) I don't think GA is working on it anymore. In fact, they don't even work on H55 ones anymore either. My wife's PC has H55M-UD2H (I think) and latest bios is beta version from year ago or so, so don't expect any updates for 45 series...

Octopuss, thanks for the reply. I was just wondering if there would be any updates to Intel AHCI ROM or Realtek LAN bios. I know that GA won't care much about EP45 series anymore but some mods may include the latest bioses. Or I should stick with my EP45 board for another one or two years before jumping to X58 or even X79, which will be a huge leap in terms of performance gain. :D

Have you tried my modded version of Fd11 for ep45-ud3p rev 1.0/1.1 bios? Intel has not updated AHCI room for a long time. Only updates have been to Intel rom realtek lan rom and jmicron rom.

Whats currently the best bios for a p67-ud4-b3? A month ago i tried every bios known to man for this board and everyone gave me the profile1 bug. f5b was the only one that did not do this, but i get the voltage spike bug every once in a while when booting, so i would like to get a newer bios with hopes to fix this. Thanks for the help

Thank you Acebmxer for caring; I think I'm with this one. I understand that not much performance gain can be expected from updating to any future versions. Maybe it's good to just stick with this one till I finally get rid of it for a new platform say X79. Nonetheless, the EP45 board has done its duty quite well and as long as it's working, I will still use it for daily computing tasks. Hey, it never fails me!

    My rig is as follows:
    W7 x64 SP1
    L3360, DDR2-1100 2Gx4, Velociraptor 600Gx2 raid-0, Giga 5870 1G
