Hey Guys. Im hoping someone can help me. Currently my PC just randomly reboots, not always but in the middle of any task. Now and again it doesnt even power up I have to hit the soft switch. When this happens, I ofen get the message instantly on screen that an voltage problem may have occured and also whenever I go into the BIOS after this happened.

    My spec is as follows:

    EX58 DS4 - F5
    i7 920 @ Stock
Corsair XMS3 @ 1600 (Profile 1) also tried standard (I get same prob)
    4870x2 on Catalyst 9.2
    1 DVD drive & Samsung 500GB disk
    Thermaltake 101D Media Case
    PSU Corsair 750TX

This has even happened when I have made a change in the bios and before I save and exit, it has rebooted. I have everything @ stock in the BIOS, although 4 Cores is enabled, Turbo is disabled. Any ideas?

Is it worth me updating to the 6b bios?

    Thanks in advance.

    Same here.
F6's require more voltage, and are not stable (linX) for me at higher bclk (200+). Apart from that, everything else seems pretty much fixed :)

    F3 for 24/7 (S3 works if HPET=off), and F4m for Benching.
F5g seems pretty good too :)

    No problem :)
I try new BIOS's to see if S3 is fixed, and also in the hope of one day maybe seeing a TDP limit ON/OFF switch. Please tell me who I have to bribe$$$ for this :p

I can't get anything above 195 bclk stable (LinX) with F6's. 205 bclk works fine with F4m...

    Downclock?

Do you mean the CPU? C1E + EIST (speedstep)?
If so, then it only downclocks if you leave this ON in the BIOS.

If you are talking about the TDP limit, F3 downclocks from x21 (turbo multi) to x20 when more than 3 threads are loaded 100% (Prime, LinX, ...)
Newer BIOS's do not downclock (no TDP limit)
