Read the past few post from Stasio and LSD. http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...tml#post422518

11.1.0.1413 is newer then 11.5 alpha. 11.5 alpha came out back in 10.x If we had change logs on the roms we could better answer questions about the roms but we dont.

When the offical 11.5 rom comes or 11.5 drivers come out Trim is supposed to be supported for SSD's in raid. Thats the only big advantage we know to expect from that.

If you want I do it again with the 11.5 rom.

Listen, im goingto bed now as its 2.46 am in UK, ive downloaded the mod you made for me(thankyou) but in the meantime, would you have a look and see if theres a newer marvell and ahci that will be compatable with my mobo, and do another mod for me?, ill get back to you later on, depending on the time zone, you might still be on around 11am UK time. Thanks again for the bios. I will flash the one you made when i get up, if you cant find marvell and ahci, you know, i would of thought gigabyte would of updated the ahci, its real old now.

    1.20E is 1.20E, doesn't really matter if it's dated 2009 or 2015

They are the same, I've tested both and see no difference, and the new one you see works only on some P67 boards anyway due to the way whoever extracted it originally. And sorry, I don't know who that is or where it came from, but I wish I knew so I could go extract it a different way. But anyway, they are the the same version, just one is saved at a later date than the other. I could change the date in one and make it 2020, then people would go nuts over that too, but you know it would still be 1.20E version - so again it would be the same really.

Latest Marvell I can do for you if you want, but you need to tell me your current Marvell BIOS and Firmware version, in case it's the same so we aren't wasting time. So, in the BIOS you flashed from above, please set Marvell Firmware to Force mode in the BIOS, save/apply/reboot to windows and let the Marvell Update. Then reboot back to the BIOS, set Marvell to AHCI, save/apply/reboot back to the BIOS, then enter the Marvell RAID section and tell me the BIOS version and Firmware version.

Keep in mind newer is not always better either, and I've not seen anyone comment about the newer Marvell ROM being any faster than the older ones.

As for the AHCI mod and/or marvel firmware I can not do those my self. Maybe when LSD pops back in he might be able to do those for you.

EDIT- Thanks LSD for the comment you beat me to it

We all have it, I was just letting you know it may or may not be better than older or current firmware in your board. it could also be the exact same you already have, and only you can verify that, so that's why I asked you to update your board with the Marvell ROM that's currently in your BIOS, and then tell us the version info, that way no one is wasting time modifying a BIOS for you with a ROM that is already in there (We can't check that ROM version, you have to flash it, and look in the Marvell RAID BIOS page yourself)
