Is your usb drive formated in fat32? It does not have to be bootable just has to be in fat32.

So im trying to flash my bios with q-flash, i stick my usb key in the usb, boot to q-flash, select flash from drive. ..and nothing happens..
i do know how to prepare the usb drive and flash with q-flash, i have done it on other gigabyte motherboards without uefi.
Could it be just that it doesnt like the usb drive ? (SandDisk Cruzer) and i also tried with extenal harddrive, wd elements. nothing happens.
also nothing happens when i try to "flash bios to drive" .
only the "exit" button works in q-flash

    From where you download BIOS?
File must be unzip first and only BIOS itself (8 MB) placed in FAT32 USB stick (with "Legacy USB Storage " Enabled) .

i downloaded the F6 from gigabytes support page for ga-z77x-d3h, wanted to test this one first.
yes it was unzipped and on a fat32 formated usb stick.

just got another usb stick from my friend, and it worked with that one, so seems it just doesnt like my sandik cruzer stick

    thank you

The same issue is also present with the F5 and F6d BIOS for the new GA-Z77X-UD5H (was working fine with the F4 BIOS). I have opened a ticket with Gigabyte technical support about the issue.
