Right ^^^ and I already explain to this guy(s) on OCN forum (TT forum posting counterfeit BIOS !!) to read "Warning" first on the top of first page.

I think you guys just have a communications problem. He wasn't flaming you, he just wanted to know why Gigabyte doesn't bother to state what changes are made to the betas. Evidently whoever he spoke to at Gigabyte did not know anything about TT forum and would not comment on beta BIOS.

    Hey Stasio,

Can you confirm if there is any difference between the 2 posted F12 BIOS for the X79 UD5 - 10 May / 05 July ?

I have used the earlier version to post a system using a Xeon E5-2687W which would not post with the previous F10 release BIOS, so I know that the CPU ID's have been updated in F12. I did notice some garbled readings for turbo/clock , but apart from that the BIOS was stable and didn't encounter any performance issues.

Do you know of any significant changes in the later one posted on 05 July ?

    Thanks

    V.

    Hi Curvin,
yea for sure CPU ID and I beleive they improve LSI and memory compatibility.
For any other changes (like ROM's ,etc....) I am not sure.

    Btw,
I uploaded some BIOS's in Previous BetaBIOS which is dated earlier (day or two) then present one:

    G1.Sniper 3 - F6b

    G1.Assassin 2 - F11i

    Thanks for the reply.

With the earlier F12 working fine with the E5-2587W CPU ID , and no issues with memory , I am pretty safe I suspect.. :-)

It would be good if they update the CPU compatibility list on the web page.. :-)
