Any bootable USB flash drive formatted to FAT32.
With BIOS usually is GB utilities to flash (for UEFI is FLASHEFI).
So,in your bootable USB flash drive place BIOS and FLASHEFI.
    For your board type....FLASHEFI Z8XPUD3I.U1A

    G'Day Stasio,

Thank you for the F6x Beta Bios. I have installed it over the F4 bios on my new Gigabyte GA-Z77x-UP5 TH motherboard to try and fix a boot loop issue. I posted my issue here:

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH Boot Loop Issue

I did notice that my Corsair M60 mouse was VERY erratic and almost impossible to use in the F6x bios, where as in the F4 it was ok, just for your info.

    Regards,

    Rob

So I see someone here helped with the bios for Real World Labs RAID 0 TRIM testing. Looks like we could be getting TRIM in RAID 0! Link here: SSD RAID 0 TRIM Confirmed - Dreams Do Come True
I briefly set up my SSD's in RAID and what a difference in speed! The whole lack of TRIM thing made me revert back to AHCI, though.

    Edit:
Make sure to power cycle after a boot.
....is there a reason as to why the 10x BIOS seems to have gone from the first page for the UD5H and a F10 BIOS is there now...?

I have the same problem as many others that have posted in this thread.

    Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4
    Intel i5 3570K

Multiplier is locked at 38x. Cannot overclock CPU with latest available BIOS.

Firstly I would like to state that this is my last straw with Gigabyte. I run a small local business building and repairing systems for my customers. I often deal in high end components and watercooling. I am constantly looking for the latest in high end components and there have been many occasions where Gigabyte products have appeared to be the wisest choice. Every single time I have been mistaken, and their products have never lived up to their hype. Now that I've finished my rant I will talk about my current issue.

I was aware before I purchased the board that I would need to flash the BIOS to the latest version in order to use my Ivy Bridge processor. I bought the Z68 board over the Z77 offerings purely because the colour schemed on all the mid range Z77 boards are crap. The Z68 boards from Gigabyte look great and that is why I bought the model that I did.

However just like others using a similar configuration I ran into the brick wall that was a 38x multiplier. I build a full custom watercooling loop so that I could overclock the 3570K. Unless I am mistaken, Gigabyte still hasn't released an updated BIOS that supports Ivy Bridge overclocking and in my opinion never will. The small demographic that has an old Sandy Bridge board and wants to overclock their Ivy Bridge processor... Well their loss, they should upgrade/downgrade to a Z77 board.

Basically what I'm trying to say is anyone want to swap a i5 2500K for my i5 3570K? It's essentially a dead weight to me. Oh and if it isn't obvious, Gigafail have lost another customer :)

These BIOS files are in "Beta". So if they go away it may be due to less than desirable results.

I thought the GA-Z68XP-UD5 was their top-end Z68 board? Why haven't they even released even a beta UEFI BIOS for it after all this time? The UD3 and UD4 already got it. You'd think the more expensive boards would get better support, not happy.
