    • Post hangs with "Fast Boot" enabled in any of the two available modes.

I'm having this same issue with the Z77X-UP7's F5o bios. Fast and ultra-fast boots are available in the bios, but every time I try to boot with them, the debug LED goes into disco mode and flashes a quick cycle of numbers over and over. I also have an updated UEFI v-bios from EVGA GTX 680, and my Windows 8 boot drive is on GPT. I tried playing around and disabling CSM and secure boot, but nothing has allowed me to boot in fast/ultra-fast from the bios.

    • Still no support for USB-hubs
    • Post hangs with "Fast Boot" enabled in any of the two available modes.
    • When you enable Internal Graphics, Post hangs if you change Internal Graphics Memory Size without rebooting first.
    • You must change Internal Graphics Memory Size in small steps or Post hangs.
    • If you select 1GB Internal Graphics Memory Size Post hangs.
    • The settings for CPU/PCIe Base Clock is not available
    • I am running Intel Rapid storage with Smart Response enabled in Windows 7. When Windows starts, I get a BSOD with F15q BIOS. The error code indicates that there is a disk problem.

To summarize it: it is really hard for me to get a complete Post with this beta and when I do I canít start my OS.

I restored BIOS F15o and there is Intelís latest stable RAID ROM and the latest MEI-ROM from Intel. There is no USB-hub support at Post but slightly faster disk performance compared to older BIOS-versions.

I recommend that you stay away from F15q unless you really need to evaluate it.

My Hauppauge 2250 tuner wasn't recognized with that bios. I restored to F14 but that is also a freaky bios

    quoted from LSD:
It is possible to make the BIOS Auto-Recovery kick in (Dual BIOS) and re-flash the MAIN BIOS with the contents of the BACKUP BIOS.

This is a simple and easy method for anyone to try before having to resort to other more difficult methods, or a RMA.

    1. Shut off the power supply using the switch on the back of the PSU, wait 10-15 seconds.
    2. Press and hold the case Power On swtich, then while still holding turn on the power supply from the switch on the rear.
    3. Still holding the case power on switch, the board will start, once it does release the case power on switch and shut off the power supply via the switch on the read of the unit.
(Do the latter two parts as quickly as you can once the board starts)
    4. The board will shut down.
    5. Turn the power supply back on using the switch on the rear of the unit.
    6. Turn on the motherboard by pressing the case power on button.

Once the board starts this time you should see the Gigabyte splash screen, or POST page, then the Auto-Recovery from Dual BIOS will kick in.
You will see a checksum error, and then recovery from BACKUP BIOS will begin. Once it is done reboot your machine and enter the BIOS and load optimized defaults then save/apply/reboot back to BIOS.

I installed the F15q BIOS for UD5H this morning and ran Prime 95 for about an hour with no problems I can see. No problems booting either, but I don't use the Fast Boot and don't need it.

Try installing a PCI tuner and get back to me on that. On boot, it also sometimes does a disco light show by flickering endlessly in loop. read other threads.

Oh, and yeah, it is a beta (been beta for quite a while )

Yep, I know it's a beta. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. That's the chance you take when you use them.
I don't have or need a tuner on this machine, that's what my HTPC is for.

Keep after Gigabyte, maybe they can cut you a custom bios that works once they know what add-in card is incompatible.

A Hauppauge tv tuner incompatible ??? Wow.

Maybe I should check to see which video card, usb device, hard drive and fans can also work with this bios. That was a wonderfull suggestion.

    Thanks.
