Well i have not had the issues you encounter using the RSTe 12.6 , Infact i have had very little to complain about, its all been very good for me on the samsung 840 Pro's in raid.

However - i agree about the Creative sound driver issue - its never detected no matter what Bios i have used on the G1 Assassin 2.

    Im sorta confused:

Did Intel up the RST Enterprise (RSTe) version to 12.6? I thought the current Enterprise version was 3.6, and the normal Intel Rapid Storage Technology (iRST) OROM was at 12.6?

Last I heard, the RSTe didn't support TRIM, etc...

The Bios now supports two formats RSTe and iRST, RSTe = 11.6 to 12.6 Oroms which support Trim in Raid, but dont use the 12.5 drivers !!! They do not trigger Trim.
iRST Does not support trim in Raid to date and never has, with the latest being 3.6 Orom

    Hope that makes sense.

    I wouldn't count on it.
Looks like it will never work properly and will get dropped due to "other priorities and demands from customers".
Clearly it's too complicated for the engineers.

new processor coming out so they will need be releasing bios updates for boards to support the cpu.

I just wish I would of bought a board to take advantage of the gpu on the chip.
