Any of you guys who are liking your new BIOS's still having double/triple false startups, always when overclocked?

Just wondering if this has been fixed in other boards as it has not yet in the UD4P

I have the UD5 flashed to F7A and unfortunately the false startups are still happening. All I'm trying to do is use my performance enhancement profiles on my memory and the system false starts on a cold boot with a notice that my overclock was bad.

    Sorry, not yet...

Oh yea, Thanks for hosting this forum...it's come in very handy.

Well that is not what I mean, sorry HK Sends.

For anyone who is not sure, I am asking about 100% Stable overclock settings causing a double/triple false start at bootup

What you are experiencing is incorrect settings which will cause a double/triple boot and the incorrect settings warning in the MIT Section. If you need some help with your settings please make a new thread and post your full specs and settings and I will try to help you get going. XMP Profiles will not always work as you may need to set several things manually the XMP Profiles will not set correctly, and or you may need to adjust QPI Voltage which would be CPU Dependent.

I personally do not know why QPI/VTT voltage is part of the XMP settings design, as it is totally CPU Dependent and some will need more then others. Of course CPU Overall speed is also a factor in why QPI/Vtt voltage should not be part of the XMP Design

No double boots here anymore with F7a on X58 EX. On cold start or restart fires right up with 4.2 OC every time.

If is only ID(microcode),the zipped size should be same, right?
    But,
    Extreme-F7a = 575 KB(.zip)
    UD5-F7a = 572 KB(.zip)

yes I am getting double/triple false starts still. I am P95 stable overnight (about 8 hours). I am running 1.5v Vcore and 1.5v VTT and all other voltages on what AUTO sets at stock clocks, but I manually set them so I know what that are truely at (other than QPI PLL which is 1.3v). Now I have running with XMP Profile1. I assume this is the problem? ur saying LSD? I will turn it off tonight and see how it does.
    btw
these last couple Bios revisions sure seemed to have greatly minimized the double/triple false starts, but still when the house is cold, I get double/triple starts, if house is kinda warm (afternoon) I usually start first try.

    oh right now running:
    GA-EX58-UD3R - F5 bios
(F6A was terrible, could not even post at any of my stable overclocks, my normal OC is 200 BCLK, and with F6A even 160BCLK was unstable)

Well, maybe not. Depends on who zipped it, with what program and what compression rate. I can zip one file into 5 or more sizes, and that's just with one program.

So that may or may not be true as all BIOS files are actually 1MB/1024KB/1,048,576 bytes

Ahh, sounds nice! You make me want to test Extreme >> UD4P
