When the boot option is Fast Boot or Ultra Fast Boot, you can't choose what type of OpROM is being used, it defaults to UEFI-compatible and you have to have GOP-enabled videocard. Anyway, I've tried to change settings and it doesn't work: it resets on reboot and I still have only beeps and black screen until Windows is up and running.

    It is a Z77 or Z87 chipset ?

I see some options in Z87. I am right now checking my MoBo with Z77.

    Ok..
    I checked..
If I have fast boot disabled there is no such an option.
If I choose fast boot/ultra fast I have options VGA support -> AUTO/EFI driver.

    to Bongkie :

Fast boot means that not all drivers are loaded. Maybe your (as mine) keyboard is not supported.
But no, u do not need it.

Shut down your PC, switch the power button on the power supply to ''zero'' /off. Push the power button on. The power supply will draw the last power in the capacitors. Then switch the power button on the power supply to ''one'' /on. Push the power button on and enter the BIOS. If you have option normal boot after power failure enabled.. If not, you have to remove the battery or reset the CMOS on the mainboard.

Auto will use UEFI OpROM with EFI OS (which is the case), so no, you can't do anything if MB decides to use Fast Boot.

Anyway, you still have to admit that this is an undesired behaviour and should be corrected in the future update.

But there is written.. AUTO-> Legacy OpRom.. must be bug.
So you cannot only enter to UEFI? Or even to Windows/Mac?

Sorry for out of topic. I don't know why Gigabyte uses AMI Bios on Z77 and Z87. AMI is a buggy Bios the only good thing with AMI Bios is you can modded it anytime. Award Bios is much stable and you can't just modded it.

Asus uses AMI Bios ever since. If you look at their website at Z77 Motherboard or even their older boards they made 7-10 bios in every single board!! Just to correct the Bug!!

Didn't flash it yet. If you flashed it, is it stable and bug-free ?

No, I Did not flash it. Because stasio said it is the original bios release by Gigabyte. And if you notice the driver or rom modded bios made by stasio F19h-mod1 is 12.x.x.xxx and F19i is 11.x.x.xxx. That is why i did not flash it.
