damn, i'm so frustrated meanwhile :(

no matter what i try, the f**** uefi bios always shows up!

if i shorten 4+7 uefi kicks in
if i shorten 5+6 pc shuts down within a second and reboots and shuts down and reboots... in an endless loop

is there no other way to force an update from usb-stick or so?

It should do it with two persons the method #3 and it should be accurate. I tried that. I have a dead mobo because i flashed it with experimental modded bios. With the help of my brother the dead mobo bring back yo life and i'm still using it

If you read through all of the posts in http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...ng-failed.html, you will see that "shorting" the #4 and #7 pins on the main bios chip is very tricky and you need to get the timing just right.

Lsdme was the master when it comes to reviving a motherboard using this technique, but one time he was careless and killed the "patient".
From post #34 in the thread:
Be warned, if you don't hold your hand steady you can fry your board! I just borked my P67A-UD7!! I let my short slip from 4+7 to 4+8 = Magic smoke and toasted unbootable board, even with a proper short on reboot!!

So be warned, and be VERY careful when holding that short!

Took some images this morning of the damage, it's hard to see in most of them, but you can clearly see the trace break in the second image.

This is what happens if you short Vcc+Ground / 4+8, so be VERY Careful!!

I'm pretty sure that if you intentionally destroy the main bios chip, your motherboard will never work again.
Think about it: Your Main bios chip isn't working right now.....

Something was messed up where the page was cached. I could see F6i but everytime I clicked it the browser started downloading F6h. After clearing browser history and what not it fixed it right up. :D

yea, guess the main bios chip is dead now^^

is a repair with a new bios chip possible?
or isn't it all worth the trouble now?

You should be forcing with first option PSU switch and power button,as so many of them recover Main BIOS this way.
But you so fast jump to BIOS pins........
