It doesn't matter to Gigabyte that Intel gives OEM updated modules.. that iRST version is really old and Gigabyte didn't bother testing and adding the latest one either.
So no new Microcode updates will be included too, no new Intel Management Engine Firmware.
Gigabyte seems the only OEM that doesn't give a damn about its customers, now they are upgrading the just released Z87 motherboard but in a few months those too will remain with no support just
like the far from old Z77 and X79 boards.
Also with Intel not releasing any new X89 chipset on revised roadmaps it's even worse the fact that Gigabyte is not giving proper support to X79 customers.
Just like the Z77 boards that got released with 10+ beta bios updates but not one single stable release to fix any bugs, huh?

Unfortunately, I'm almost beginning to kick myself for emptying (XXX) boards out of my cart 2 months ago and spending my hundreds on GIGABYTE board upgrades, instead. I was under the assumption that with so many beta bios revisions and "fixes" listed, an official release would be out imminently. But the UD4H & HD4's just get stuck with a dated release version from last year.

So after WEEKS of being stable on the GA-Z87X-UD3H with F5 bios.. I figured I would give the latest Beta BIOS a try, all the others were failures.

I went with the F6l as on the first post of this thread. This produced the same results as every other F6 bios, the System Interrupt process (DPC) in Windows 8 begins to use a large amount of memory and CPU usage, until the system finally hard-freezes. This seems to happen faster if you are in a 3D app or Game, like Battlefield 3.

So F5 bios = Can't use 4 sticks of memory, BSOD's and F6 bios = not stable at all, hard-freeze after undetermined amount of time.

So I sit with my 2x sticks of RAM on the F5 bios 100% stable.

Anyone else seeing these types of issues?

My X79-UP4 freezes either in idle or with heavy CPU usage at random since it arrived with the F2 BIOS installed, under Windows7 x64 SP1. It was freezing every 3-5 hours uptime on average. The F3p and F3t Beta BIOSes didn't fix a damn thing either, the system uptime is 9 to 13 hours on average, although sometimes for unknown reasons it happened that for a whole day it kept freezing every 3-4 hours just like F2 BIOS.
When the system uptime is in the 9-13hours range the only viable workaround is that of shutting down and re-powering up the system to work with the PC for a whole day, unless it's one of those random days in which it regresses to F2 BIOS behaviour.

    GA-Z87X-UD3H - F6q

Installed, started playing Battlefield 3, got about 35 minutes worth of gameplay in, then the System Interrupt fun started, the CPU usage on System Interrupt process went to a steady 8-10%, system video and sound started freezing every 5 seconds then catching up, then after about 30 seconds of that, hard freeze with sound stuck.

back to F5 bios... 100% stable.

Same story with GA-Z87X-UD5H any version of BIOS. I already regret buying this motherboard......
