I tried using Offset, but the Normal Voltage is different every reboot, so i'm not really trusting it.
You don't need to use offset for the vcore to drop at idle. What are you measuring vcore with? FWIW cpu-z later than 1.64 shows VID rather than vcore.

Using CPU-Z 1.65.0, but at 800 MHz idle it still shows 1.158 volts.

    CPU Clock Ratio - 44
    Vcore - 1.160
    Turbo - Disabled
    LLC - Extreme
    C1E - Enabled
    Thermal Monitor - Enabled
    EIST - Enabled

CPU-Z, OCCT, HWMonitor all show 1.16 in Idle.

For me voltage never drops when I use fixed voltage, only when using offsetThat's on a GA-Z87X-OC with F4 BIOS and all energy saving options enabled and using CPU-Z 1.64, EasyTune or Intel XTU utility for voltage display.

    C3 - Enabled
    Turbo - Auto
    The rest Disabled

    NOTE:
Only CPU-Z 1.64.0 works with this setting.
    (Core voltage drop.....CPU speed stay)

It doesn't drop in the BIOS either, just stays at 1.158.

And i gave Normal + Offset another go today, upon rebooting it showed a whooping 1.35 volts. I really do not trust it anymore lol

No it will not drop in bios but should in Windows. As we said cpu-z 1.64 should be used as later versions only show vid for z87.
I have all C states Auto, LLC Extreme and vcore set 1.25v and in Windows at idle the voltage drops down between .7 - .8v on my UD5H.
Windows Power Options are set to Balanced, with minimum processor state set @ 5%.

    1.64.0 shows 0.180 volts at 800 MHz.

I also noticed that OCCT and HW Monitor show the wrong PSU readouts. Are all these programs bugged for Z87?

    Stasio,

I'm using a GA-Z77X-UD4H, and the system will occasionally hang on boot at the BIOS logo with a GTX 780. This did not happen with an HD 7950. The card came with the updated BIOS already flashed on it, since I bought a newer batch (in July). Only the video cards were changed.

Also, on standby, my keyboard will (maybe 1 out of every 4 times) keep the lights on, but it will turn them on the brightest setting (I use a dimmer one) like the Port 60/64 emulation mode. After rebooting, the keyboard will simply return to normal lighting by itself.

Would also like to know if the GA-Z77-HD4 BIOS will be pushed out by Gigabyte as well..
