Thread: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS

What are the changes in the EX58-UD4P F8a bios?

One thing I noticed was that my overclock (183BCLK at nominal voltages) could not resume from sleep until I upgraded to F8a! Now it works great!

So far so good but a full change list would be awesome.

Also, as mentioned before, anyway to "lock" 21x multiplier through bios would be awesome. Maybe Intel would consider this cheating but if motherboard has any control over turbo-mode, 21x on the 920's would be great :)

    Hello There,
I have tried F7c(and f7b and f7a too) on my UD5, S3 is not working on it.
Screen goes black, keyboard and mouse also go off, and all harddisks except the one where windows is on spin down.
    And thats all whats happening.
As soon as i press a key on the keyboard, the light goes on (Logitech G15), but nothing happends.
I have my 920 clocked on 3 ghz.
S3 worked fine on the F6 beta.

I also wanted to report that using the GA-EX58-UD4P F8a bios I can now awake from sleep no problem, but I have also noticed under load that the CPU no longer go's into turbo mode (21x or higher)

--==Correction it is going to the 21x turbo after being in windows for a bit==--

    This is using the following:

S3 work fine for me with f7a b c on ud5 even with 200bclk. Confirmed problem with these bios though, you cannot disable HT, the board will go into a continuous reboot cycle powering on and off and then have to clear cmos to get back into the bios. Nasty bug.
