Hmm I missed this post, there's a difference is there? Based on the symptoms I didn't think it would matter?

The support site recommends using @BIOS

    GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 2011 - GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI (rev. 1.0)

The GB site recommends using @BIOS,because Q-Flash has been updated,so you cann't flash with Q-Flash.
Once you flashed IB-E BIOS ......is recommended used Q-Flash.

OK thanks for the reply. I'll flash the F4 BIOS with Q-Flash and see what happens.

After flashing the BIOS GA-X79-UD3 f16 my monitor stopped from going to sleep. Updated on f17b but the problem remained. Previously stood f11 bios, monitor went into sleep mode. Video card GTX Titan.

    GA-Z77-D3H - F21 - brand new bug..
When I activate Intel Virtualization Technology, BIOS is reading 100MHz FSB and 1600MHz RAM also good CPU clock, however.. in Windows CPU-Z and others show only about 97-98MHz FSB and also different freq of CPU, RAM... The Win is reading only 3,4GHz in My Computer - properties also in task manager...

just tried to upgrade from win7 to win8.1
our bios is broken on our gigabyte z87 oc boards X05 bios is not compatible with secure boot.

    ----------------------------------------------

this is the information i got when i tried to upgrade when 8.1 compatibility assistant was checking my system.....

Secure Boot isn't compatible with your PC
Your PC's firmware doesn't support Secure Boot so you won't be able to use it in Windows 8.1.
    More info

    ----------------------------------------------

this needs to be fixed ASAP as i can not use 8.1 pro without it....

Acually it is your graphic card manufacturer (HIS) that you should contact.
I know they are making gop vBIOS (uefi ready) update for 7850
HIS 7850 iPower IceQ Turbo 4GB GDDR5 PCI-E 2xDVI/HDMI/2xMini DP (UEFI Ready) < HD 7800 Series < Desktop Graphics < Products | HIS Graphic Cards
so I don't see why they would not have one for your HIS IceQ 7950.
I went to your manufacturer (HIS) web site but I did see an update but I only did a quick check so you might want to revisit.
Write to you manufacturer support dept. and ask for a uefi compatible vBIOS.
    Good luck
