X79 UD3 new noctua fan A14 PWM not fully compatible.

Hello, Stasio, can you informe Gigabyte about new fans NOCTUA A14 PWM are not fully compatible whit f18 bios?

I explain, when i cold start the computer, my noctua fan on rear case (connected to 4 pin PWM system fan_1) dont spin until the system reach 38-40c. After that temperature, the fan start spin.

I wait a new stable bios for try.

    Thank you for read me!

I really do not wish to update from Windows - that's why I want to avoid using QBIOS, if possible. Is there an updated efiflash utility? The one bundled with the F9 is dated October 2012.

    Thanks!

Yay, it worked like a charm! Thanks!!

I really wonder why Gigabytes included an outdated version of its flash utility.

Yay, Z87X-OC F8 BIOS is so great! I've had no problems what so ever and the OC'ing is noticeably better (Only a little bit better, but it's noticeable)

    ftp_DOS-Z87

    - put all files on your USB stick
    - add the BIOS file you want to flash and rename it "bios.bin"
    - reboot and start on your USB stick
    - flash start automatically... wait for "FPT Operation Passed"
    - restart with CTRL+ALT+DEL

Just tested .....flashed Z87X-OC from F8 to F7g.....few hickups...but OK.
Now must flash back to F8.

    Edit:
Reflash once more time with Q-Flash.

    Btw,
you have BIOS switch........(2 BIOS chips)
so keep this BIOS on one BIOS chip and flash whatever you want from second chip.
