I think so... but itīs just a hid device... like a keyboard... in fact... it has only mouse and keyboard functions. To make it worst... the device works on F9, but freeze the system after you made some clicks... if you dont press any button... system wont freeze.

Wonder how they managed to break compatibility with such basic component. Tried some different pc remote control, all with the same problem.

Yesterday i got my I7-4790K to replace my old 4770K,but i got very big problem

With GA Z87-OC Force(bios ver:F9) Corsair H100i ,and CPU default setup, OS is Win 8.1

i use Intel burn test and LinX 0.6.5 for test,in 10 second the temperature rush to 100°C

this really crazy....hope update BIOS to F10 will fix this crazy situation........

Well the beta updates did fix some over volting didn't they? so that always helps. although i still don't imagine it that high with factory clock. was that an overclock? What kind of cooling? Ensure it was all in top order? I mean if there is even any doubt you botched the TIM, redo it.

Gigabyte also really does like to overvolt vcore in general on AUTO. my OC-Force wants to give cpu 1.4v for 43x with the built in quick overclock profile. How about NO. I got it down to 1.2 in normal use but 1.222 in extreme loads. temp diff? about 15C from the ridiculous 1.4.

Probably is Intel wrong info.......other brands has same issue.
Latest BIOS should address stock overvoltage, but for overclock (or any other then stock), I prefer to set manually.

After my Z87-OC Force update bios to F10c,i still got same issue, with factory clock and try run LinX 0.6.5

    the coretemp shows the CPU
temperature up to 100°C (Corsair H100i with SilverStone FT02)

But if i try some games like watch dogs bf4 the witcher 2 ,Cpu </the></bf4></watch>temperature about 50°C to 58°C

    cant figure out why :(

CPU Vcore is 1.200V and CPU VID is 1.183V.

Temps are a little high for "improved tim" Are you using stock heatsink?

lets see if it can undervolt or reach highest clock without more voltage...

Well, finally gigabyte decided to ignore the problem, and said it cannot test third party devices.

So, be careful with what you plug on gb z87 boards (specially on sniper m5, but I guess the bug was introduced to all the z87 line), even the stupid basic hid usb dongle could make your system unstable.
