If you feel adventurous, I suppose you could rip the SataDriver out of the previous uefi image and insert it into the new version and see if that just works. I guess that would be more on topic for the neighbor thread for modded gigabyte bios, though. :)

Despite its name, the SataDriver is specifically for booting off the Intel controller in RAID mode, right?

Already did that and it didn't work. But I didn't tried further, because even if I succeed, I still won't have the ultrafast boot option.(and I really like the ultrafast option)

Yes, that part we agree on. But I was under the impression that it was needed specifically for RAID (despite the name)?

Just got hold of the GA-Z97X-UD5H, updated the BIOS to the F8b beta version and have noticed a minor bug. If you try to exit BIOS without saving, I get a B1IntializeLibrary failed 0xc000009a error and have to reset the system to get up and running again.

I get that occasionally as well. Doesn't happen often enough to bug me, I guess.
BTW I'm not sure it's only this BIOS as I've seen it on and off since the board's release.

Yes, I agree it's not a big issue but it is the kind of thing that can worry less experienced users.

working fine here although I can't really tell the difference in VMware...

If someone has time to mod this with latest ROM I'd appreciate...
By any chance, anyone has this bios version ?
